Grier persevered to carve out lengthy NHL career
The following article is from NHL.com on Mike Grier of the Buffalo Sabers. Sean Skahan, Mike Boyle and I have had the honor and privilege to work with Mike over the years specifically in the off-season. Mike Boyle has worked with Mike Grier since he was a BU hockey player and was very influential in establishing Mike's training habits. While Mike was in San Jose I saw firsthand his in-season commitment to staying in-shape and well conditioned. This prepared him for a long playoff run and many injury free seasons. The article talks about Mike's perseverance in the NHL for 14 years and over 1000 games played. His work ethic, integrity and character are among the best in the league. I think this article will not only give fans and hockey coaches a true perspective of Mike's professionalism, but more importantly it will show young athletes what it takes to be ELITE.
Enjoy
