Lateral Squat ISO hold

Jim McKee

I have athletes focus on the outside edge of the foot on the bent leg and locking the other knee straight by flexing their quad. My thought is it gets maximal loading of the bent leg and maximal extension of the other leg simultaneously (aka stride efficiency). It may also teach the groin of the extended leg to relax and let go as well, though I can't confirm that with any literature or research.
