Med Ball Off-Season Throws
The throwing sequence in this video is used at the mid point of the summer. In the first exercise you will see a Gray Cook Style throw which is used to link stability in the torso and force output from the lower body. Keeping the spine straight and having it turn on a "axis" is key to execution. The alternating side throw allows the athlete to work on rotational throwing and foot work by spinning around to set up the catch. The ground start chest pass is a sagittal plane movement that focuses on power output from the lower body into the core and through the upper body.
