Video of The Week- Soft Tissue Work: Posterior Adductor Magnus
One of the soft tissue restrictions commonly found in hockey players is in the area of the posterior adductor magnus and medial hamstrings proximal insertions. We've found that this is pretty uncomfortable for many players at first, but using a medicine ball to dig into this junction can help relieve some of the "tightness" in this area, which can limit hip flexion.
The goal is to work near the insertion points of the adductor magnus and medial hamstrings, and the areas between the two muscles moving down the back of the thigh (as David Lasnier demonstrates in the video).
